Olivia and Harriet worked hard from back stop to first continuously throughout the first innings managing to get 5 out. The team kept tight allowing RGS to score only 1 rounder. There was some great hitting from our girls, especially from the Olivias’ and from Miranda resulting in a score of 6 rounders by half time.

RGS seemed to have gained more confidence coming into the second innings and managed to produce much stronger batting. The girls still fielded very well and there was a great catch by Sun A too. Our opposition managed to score a further 5 rounders equalling our 6 rounders before we went into bat again. All was going very well, 5 ½ further rounders scored when poor Miranda managed to trip whilst running to first post having hit a boundary, resulting in us having to abandon the match as she had badly injured her knee and needed hospital attention.

This was a great result considering it was a different selection of players today who are not necessarily used to playing together. Well Done.
