The girls started the match with impressive form from all, including catches from Rosalind, Emma and Holly. With excellent bowling, backstop first combinations also working well we finished the first innings 5 vs 4 ahead of The Downs Malvern College Prep.

During the second innings our fielding started well, with just two of the opposing team left in there was alot of excitement in the team to finish the innings, which unfortunately gave away several half rounders leaving Abberley chasing a total of 9 1/2 rounders. Our batting has made a dramatic leap from the last match and saw several full rounders run from, Phillippa, Elizabeth, Tertia and Rosalind during the match. The Downs Malvern College Prep made some fantastic catches to leave us trailing 8 1/2 vs 9 1/2 with one batter left. Elizabeth made a great hit and a fantastic run to score half a rounder giving a final score of 9 vs 9 1/2 to The Downs Malvern College Prep. An excellent competitive match with all girls making an excellent contribution.
