King’s Hawford Cross-Country Competition

Conditions were perfect for fast races at King’s Hawford this year. There was a very high standard of competition and although we only won one third place individual medal with Emily T in the Under 11 girls’ race the teams preformed very well to retain the overall school shield.

The Under 9 girls finished second. Kitty M was fifth, Hattie G eighth, Alina J thirteenth and Katie G seventeenth.

The Under 9 boys were unplaced but the two pre-prep boys, Alexander W and Oliver R-D were fifteenth and twenty sixth.

The Under 11 girls ran impressively to finish first. Emily T was third, Emma T fourth, Georgie W fifth and Isla C sixth.

The Under 11 boys were also successful finishing first. Pepe del C was fourth, Freddie B fifth, Roddy P eighth and Lucien W twelth.

This ended a very successful season across the age groups in which nineteen first place trophies were won. With only a few individual victories, this season showed the importance of the team effort.
