Colts A v Moor Park 2 - 1
Colts A entertained Moor Park on Saturday and came away with a hard fought 2-1 victory. In the first half Abberley had more possession but it was Moor Park who were more incisive going forward and they took the lead with a well taken goal. Abberley streamed forward in the second half but Moor Park defended bravely and for long periods looked like they would hold on. However with about 12 minutes left following a corner the ball emerged to George M whose looping shot gently sailed over the keeper into the net. Abberley were elated, Moor Park deflated and their resilience was shattered by a lovely individual goal by Toby C. He picked up the ball midway inside the opposition half, glided nonchenantly past the central defender and slotted the ball neatly past the exposed keeper. It was a moment of composure from the Abberley skipper and worthy of winning the game.
This was a gritty second half display from Abberley with James outstanding at the back, setting the tone with some excellent tackling.
