1st XI vMalvern Prep 1 - 2
What a difference a day makes….and a few changes to positions and personnel. This was a proper contest. Again the opposition were physical and skilful. Today, however, we were up for the fight. As a result we gave an excellent account of ourselves.
A tricky breeze threatened to dominate proceedings. In fact it was barely noticeable as both teams battled for supremacy. Despite early pressure Malvern took the lead. Heads remained up as we worked our way into the game, equalising before half-time through William after a goal-mouth scramble. After the interval it was end to end. Both teams had good chances. Eventually Malvern took one of theirs in the last five minutes to win.
Some excellent individual efforts, but overall a much better team performance.
2nd XI vMAlvern Prep 4 - 0
We took the pitch determined to win and during the first half, the match was mainly place on the Malvern side of the field as we pressured more and proved more decisive. Having a 2-0 advantage at half time, thanks to Henry and Alex, the hardest part was done. In second half we continued to play on the same tempo and created lots of opportunities. We scored two more goals and ended up winning the match 4-0…
