Colts C v King's Hawford 25-52

'Colts C give rousing display against conquering King's'

Colts C, in their last match of the season, gave a rousing performance against a strong and talented King's Hawford B side. We were two tries down within the first five minutes but the troops rallied and good team work between James G. and Otto W. led to Otto scoring. Matty R. took a quick penalty to dot down in the corner and we were on the score sheet again. Unfortunately so were King's! They ran fast and straight but our defence improved as the game proceeded. Thomas W. was especially brave in the tackle. The second half brought more tries; another for Otto W. one for Max W. (our captain) and the third for Jack S. It was gratifying to see so much effort and support from all the players.
So there we are the season's over; time for merriment and mince pies! This has been a tough season but the boys have learnt much and have been most resilient. We live to fight another day! Well done men. Lay down your weapons, return to your homes and rest your weary limbs.
