1st XV v Lucton (away) 25-5

Lucton have a good side this year and had been unbeaten. They were a physical side with a certain amount of pace. After three days of exams the mental strain took
its toll on some. Matthew S was found wandering around aimlessly when the bus should have left ten minutes before. Harry D lost his shorts and played in rolled up chapel suit trousers only to find his shorts on the bus during the return journey!
Once the game started, however, the team set to their task in impressive fashion. It was a very physical contest but one in which we came out on top. We played an increasingly expansive game and the support play and rucking was good to see. William P has now converted to a marauding back row player and Alex M enjoyed his new position at scrum half. Max C-S once again lead with authority but the rest of the team were not far behind in terms of energy, commitment and effectiveness in contact.

Colts B v Hereford CJS 24-21

Colts B yet again served up another cracker in this match, which had coaches and supporters gasping with delight and awe at the sheer entertainment of it all. Both teams were determined to run the ball, and at certain times the game resembled the 7's version. Quick hands in the backs from Hereford resulted in some stunning tries on the wing. Abberley slightly had the edge in the forwards and were able to use the forward power to good effect. Aidan snipped at the base of the scrum, Morgan battered holes through the defence with some bullocking runs, and Rory again inspired with his never say die approach. Special mention should go to Ed.H., who has really come on leaps and bounds in the hooker position and fought ferouciously in the contact. A very entertaining game, well done all and thank you once again to the parents.
