Abberley Hall X-Country Competition - Thursday 18th October

After the atrocious conditions that the Under 9 football players had to endure on Tuesday, we had a lovely autumnal day for this annual competition. Unlike last year, the course this time was dry resulting in some fast times.

We managed to make the most of home advantage and Max C-S, Harry H, Annie T and Kitty D all won their respective races. Dan G, George B and I Mucklow also came second. Jenny L came third in the U13 girls’ race to complete a clean sweep of the medals. In all we won eight of the twelve medals on offer which was an impressive effort.

In the team events the Under 13 boys and girls came first with the Under 11 boys coming second behind Hallfield and the Under 11 girls coming second behind Moor Park.

Seven schools took part in what is a very useful competition in preparation for the main X-Country competitions in the spring term.
