Day children are as much part of the Abberley community as those who board. In the pre-prep stage all are day pupils; in the main school about one third are day pupils.

As the children progress through the school so much time is spent in lessons, sports, clubs and activities that in many cases it leads to a move to boarding in the later years. Lunch for day children is provided in the main dining rooms.
