The weekend before Common Entrance and school exams is a weekend to relax and enjoy the sunshine but also a time to sit down and make the final preparations for the end of the academic year.
The weekend began rather oddly with the home matches failing to materialise due to a missing bus driver and a school getting confused over their half term dates. After the difficult weather that we have been having, typically the conditions were perfect and so we made the most of the situation with some fiercely contested inter school matches. The evening was spent enjoying the summer outdoors on the tennis court, in the cricket nets, on bikes or in the gardens.
After chapel on Sunday again we made the most of the summer with horse riding, athletics, biking, swimming and cricket nets. A group went down to the world famous Shellsley Hill Climb and watched all manner of vintage and more recent cars race up the twisting track. We also got the water slide out and children hurtled down the bank on a 40 metre length of polythene being sprayed with water.
The top year sat down to work after lunch before letting off steam on the water slide.
