Optional Weekend 17-18th March

March 17-18th saw our fifth optional weekend extravaganza of the year with three different trips and 56 children staying in. The top two years returned to Oaker Wood for more paintballing and a new activity, quadtrekking. Inspite of the blustery showers, they had a thrilling experience.
Less thrilling but still a fantastic experience was the visit to a packed Villa Park of 42000 people to see Aston Villa take on Liverpool. Sadly there were no goals !
Finally the youngest children went to West Mldlands Safari Park. They saw rhino, elephants, cute white lion cubs, tigers and the friendliest giraffe you could wish to meet ! After watching the sealion show, they then headed to the amusement rides. Most children were just big enough to scream their way through the Black Fly, the Venom tower drop and the Twister coaster. Those less brave still had plenty of fun on the Ghost train, Rhino coaster and Tarentula rides to name but a few. Lots of fun and great behaviour once again !
