Wow! What an undertaking this production must have been, but what a success it is. Costume, choreography, singing and music all conspire to provide a visual and auditory feast. How easy it is to forget that these are eleven, twelve and thirteen year olds on stage singing and dancing with poise and presence. In the context of a busy term of academia, music, sport and art, it is so impressive how much these children have achieved. The performance doesn’t stop at the edge of the stage. The lighting team are bang on cue, whilst the stage management team perform their difficult tasks with aplomb.
I was spellbound. Hugely impressive. Congratulations to all involved, especially Miss Northwood.
