Our final Lunchtime Concert of this term had a ‘Seasonal feeling’ to it! A large and appreciative audience listened to fine performances and were even allowed to join in the final item!
The performers and their pieces were as follows :
The Percussion Group played ‘Jingle Bash’ and got us off to a great start
Tertia R played ‘Grandmother’s tales’ by Sarauer on the Piano
Tabitha B played ‘Pipers are coming’ arranged by Thompson on the Piano
Isla C sang ‘Pwitty, pwitty me’ by Betty Rose and caused many a smile
Lydia W played the ‘Finale’ from the Water Music by Handel on the violin and then the ‘Hornpipe’ by Henry Purcell on the piano
Jamie W played ‘Jolly old St Nicholas’ on his new trumpet
William C sang ‘Sing Glory, Hallelujah!’ and finally
The Flute Ensemble played ‘Jingle Bells’ and when they played for the second time we all joined in and raised the roof!
The next lunchtime concert is next term and we look forward to seeing you.
