Our third Lunchtime Concert was based entirely on Musical Theatre pieces and was directed by Mrs Jane Whittle (Assistant Director of Music). All performers gave a large and appreciative audience much pleasure.
The performers and their pieces were as follows :
Sam R (in very smart ‘tails’) and 100C performed ‘Funiculi, Funicula’
Jenny L sang ‘The Boyfriend’ by Sandy Wilson
Kate W-W performed ‘What I did for Love’ from “A Chorus Line”
Andrew S sang ‘Oh, what a beautiful morning’ from “Oklahoma”
Storm T performed ‘Pennies from Heaven’ from the film, complete with umbrella
Robert P sang a toe-tapping rendition of ‘Zip-a-Dee-doo-Dah’
Emma W gave a charming rendition of ‘Do-Re-Mi’ from “The Sound of Music”
and
Alastair W made a wonderful policeman as he sang ‘A Policeman’s Lot’ from “Pirate of Penzance by Gilbert & Sullivan
The next lunchtime concert is on Friday 7th December at 1:30pm and will no doubt have a Christmas theme!
We look forward to seeing you.
