All In Weekend - 6/7 October

The great excitiement of this weekend (apart from the World Cup Rugby!) was the appearance of 6 'Buggy-Karts'. They looked like all-terrain Go-karts and were equipped with seat belts and roll bars. It was a popular activity and after some vital safety instruction from Mr.Maidment (our Judo coach) it was all go. There were two to a Kart and after every lap they swopped from being passenger to being driver. The hedges were visited a couple of times and we even had a half-roll! No damage to vehicle nor child. All participants wore gloves, helmets and goggles. All afternoon 'Lewis Hamilton wanna-bes' sped down the back drive and back to the car park. Quick change-overs ensued and off they went.
Also this weekend, camp fires were in full blaze. Bacon, toast, bannana-splits were on offer; some more than 'well-done'!

The Form 1s and some Removes enjoyed a hike up Abberley hill and were astonished to find on their return journey that a variety of sweets were adorning the side of the trail. (I wonder how they got there?) Mrs F. togther with Mrs.E and Mr.L safely escorted the children back to School and to the camp fires where they had marshmallows to cook.

Miss G took a small group of keen riders on a horse ride across country which was great fun.

The tennis courts were in action and Mr de V. was kept busy with a kicking competition on the Game 2 Rugby pitch.
The Under 11 Footballers and Netball players returned from the Wrekin Tournament having put in good performances but missing out on the 'silver-ware'. Earlier in the day a group of girls had attended the County Hocketrials at Worcester University. Congratulations to Jenny L. for making the County side.

After Tea the Form 1s listened to how 'Horrid Henry' rid himself of his nits! Whilst many of the older chiuldren settled down to watch a film before wending their way upstairs to bed.

A most enjoyable weekend. Thankyou to all the staff who
