The idea of this overnight camp was to prepare the Shells for the three day trip with World Challenge Expeditions at the end of the summer term. We set up camp in the corner of the playing fields and built a camp fire in the woods to toast marshmallows. After hot chocolate, we settled into our tents only to be disturbed and entertained by a fire work display occurring at the Elms Hotel.

A good night’s sleep was had by most and then the camp fire was stoked into life for hot buttered toast in the morning.

We all returned to school in time for breakfast, slightly weary and with a distinct smell of smoke hovering over us.
